It is with fond memories that the family of Doris Antonette Ridinger announce her going home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 27. 2019 in Wichita Falls Texas at the age of 92. She was born June 11, 1926 in Hancock, New York and married Albert Ridinger on September 6, 1944. Doris is survived by daughters, Barbara Marley of Argyle, Texas and Cathy Grimes(Clyde) of Alvarado, Texas and son, John Ridinger of Wichita Falls, Texas. She will also be fondly remembered by her 5 grandchildren Jeff Marley, Scott Marley, Lori McConnell, Lacy Hernandez and Lana Galer and her 12 great-grandchildren Payton, Sean, Connor, Ian ,Madeline, Molly, Keegan, Megan, Kailey, Chase, Evelyn and Alice. Doris was predeceased by her parents, William and Phoebe Sauerbrun, sister, Vivian Van Luevan, and husband Albert Ridinger.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over fifty years and sang in the church choir and volunteered on the Altar Guild. She was an Avon representative for over twenty-five years. She volunteered as a counselor for the Reach to Recovery (American Cancer Society) of Wichita Falls. Along with her husband Albert, she served in the Jaycees in Wichita Falls.
Viewing will be on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas at 1:00 PM with a funeral service in memory of Doris immediately following at 2:00 PM at the same location, with Christopher Yanker, officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
