Donald Ray Long

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Father Jack McKone Celebrant with Father Ivor Koch. Interment will follow in the Garden of Four Seasons at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Don was born December 7, 1935 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Houston and Lula Long. He met and married Barbara Wylie on December 18, 1976. Don went to work in 1951 at SG Eddy’s Garage and became partners in 1975. He bought the business in 1978 and remained the owner until his retirement in 2006.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Thelma, brother; Louie Long and brother-in-law; Troy Ketchum.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, son; Donnie Long and wife Joni of Windthorst, daughters; LaDonna Ferguson and husband Robert of Wichita Falls, Pam Tarver and husband Erik of Yuba City, California and Deborah Hrinevich also of Yuba City, California, sister; Mary Lou Ketchum of Ft. Worth, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Don also is survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
