Darrell Wayne Coulson

Darrell Wayne Coulson, 81, of Iowa Park, TX passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 5, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Glen Pearce of First Baptist Church of Iowa Park officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Coulson was born on April 24, 1930 in Wichita Falls to the late Bernard and Iola (Oliver) Coulson. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Wichita Falls area and was a Baptist by faith. He married Sue Sparks on December 11, 1947 here in Wichita Falls. Mr. Coulson was in the truck service business until retiring in 1997, having worked for several trucking firms here. He loved to garden and especially loved to fish.

Survivors are his wife of over 64 years, Sue Coulson of Iowa Park; son, Ronald Coulson and wife, Shellie of Flower Mound, TX; daughter Beckie Lovelady and husband, Randy of Iowa Park; sisters, Charlotte Lee of Wichita Falls and Norma Jean Schultz of Amarillo, TX; brother, Dr. Billy Don Coulson of Bedford, TX; grandchildren, Heather Carpenter and husband, Scott, Lindie Howard and husband, Ryan, Lauren Minderman and husband, Dane, Thomas Vick and wife, Kim and Timothy Vick; great grandchildren, Ethan, Joshua, Jackson, Colin, Claire, Hanah, Catelyn and Weston; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Coulson was preceded in death by sons, Dennis Coulson and Jeff Coulson; also brothers, Kenneth Coulson and Morris Coulson.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd. 76310.
