Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday July 19, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with

Rev. Kile Bateman officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.

Daris was born June 19, 1927 in Jester, Texas to Ennis and Iva Horne, She lived in Wichita Falls, Texas for 48 years before moving to Burkburnett, Texas where she lived the last few years of her life. She was a homemaker most of her adult life while she raised her kids. Daris was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted wife. She was a Godly woman who laid a solid foundation in the Christian faith for her family to follow.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband D.H. Wheeler, second husband Jim Evans and one son, Jerry Wheeler.

Survivors, son, Rev. Wayne Wheeler D.D. and wife Kay of Carthage, MO; daughters, Cherry Milbern and husband Jimmy of Wichita Falls and Pamela Thayer of Burkburnett; son, Ted Wheeler and wife Connie of Wichita Falls; son, Charles Wheeler and wife Karen of Valley View, Texas; grandchildren, Cassie Shannon and husband James, Jenny Harris and husband Brian, Sabrina Stockton and husband Steve, Eric Milbern and wife Roxanne, Summer West and husband Trent, Bryce Thayer, Brandon Thayer, Aaron Wheeler, Jason Wheeler and wife Heather, Charlie Wheeler and wife Kassey, Crystal Wheeler; 14 great-grandchildren and her special friend Carl Bassett of Wichita Falls.
