Connie Bangs

Connie Bangs, age 63, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Connie Ledbetter Bangs was born on September 2, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Leonard and Wanda Ledbetter. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1979. Connie met the love of her life, Roger Bangs, while working at Walmart, and they married on December 5, 2009. Connie worked as a kindergarten teacher at Seymour Road Play School and enjoyed the time she had with all the children over the years. Connie spent a lot of her time volunteering with the youth at Faith Village Church of Christ, where she was a member. Being a camp counselor at Quartz Mountain Christian Camp in Altus, Oklahoma was special to her. Connie was also very involved at the Church of Christ Bible Chair on the Midwestern State University campus. Connie had a huge love for sports, including the Texas Rangers, Denver Broncos and of course her favorite was attending as many of the Wichita Falls High School Coyote's football games that she could. Go "YOTES!" Connie also enjoyed going on cruises with her amazing husband Roger and enjoyed their time together on the beach. Connie was known for her love of children, her love for her nieces and nephews and her faith in Jesus. Connie could not go anywhere without running into someone she knew. She will greatly be missed by her family, friends and so many others in the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Wanda Ledbetter and her brother Garry Ledbetter.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Bangs; her sister, Judy Morton and husband Robert; brother, Larry Ledbetter; her nieces and nephews, Misty Barr, Jeff Morton and wife Betsi, Amber Miller and husband Erik, Roger Morton and wife Bonnie, and Maria Ryan; her great nieces and nephews, Dylan Barr, Camden Ryan, Maddy Miller, and Ethan Lujan; stepchildren, Dawn Hall and husband Leam, Krista Ferrell and husband Doug, David Bangs and Lonnie Bangs; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madilyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, Texas or to the Faith Village Church of Christ scholarships for Quartz Mountain Christian Camp, 4100 McNeil, Wichita Falls, Texas.

A memorial service for Connie will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Faith Village Church of Christ, 4100 McNeil Ave, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.
