C.T. Russell, 90, of Wichita Falls died Monday, October 18, 2010 at a local hospital. Services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by grandson, Pastor Thomas Kelly Russell of First Baptist Church in Olney. Interment with military honors will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
C.T. was born July 19, 1920 in Bellevue, TX to Robert Lee and Susie Chapell Russell. He was born and raised in Clay County. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Ruby Lee Boren and together they raised two sons. He worked 25 years for Carnation in the ice cream department. He retired from Ameron (Ciba) after 20 years of service. He was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church.
Mr. Russell is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruby Russell in 2004; and sisters, Minnie Moore and Alva Mae Sheets.
Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Lee and Doris Russell of Dean, Bobby DeWayne and Teddy Russell of Charlie; grandchildren, Thomas Kelly Russell, Michael Earl Russell, Robyn Muncy, Darcy Lewis; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday October 20, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
