Charles W Fleming went home to be in Paradise with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 8, 2023 at the age of 71. He was born on December 13, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, to Gordon and Ernestine Fleming. He was married to Janis Weatherby Fleming for 44 years.
Chuck was a Civil Engineer. He obtained his engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. He retired from the City of Hampton in Virginia after 30 years of service. He also retired from Sheppard AFB after 10 years of service.
Chuck was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his family and he exemplified the core values of integrity, faith, and service. Chuck taught both adults and children in Sunday School and Life Groups for more than 30 years. Chuck was a deacon at Poquoson Baptist Church and at First Baptist Church.
Chuck loved Jesus with all his heart, his soul, his mind and his strength. He taught his children how to read, study, memorize, and meditate on the Word of God. He taught his children that the joy of the Lord is our strength and that no matter the trial; the Lord is always near and will always provide for our needs.
Chuck Fleming is survived by his wife, Jan Fleming, and his 3 sons: David Fleming; Mike Fleming and wife Whitney; and John Fleming; grandchildren, Jagger and Meredith Fleming; his brother Steve Fleming and sister Judy Fleming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bobby Fleming.
An open casket viewing will be held on April 14, 2023 at 10:30 AM, at the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Wichita Falls.
Chuck Fleming will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family, friends, and church.
