Mrs. Cloy Jackson, 86, of Wichita Falls died Friday, May 6, 2011 in Amarillo, TX where she has lived since August, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Pursley and Reverend Gary Baird officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Cloy was born in Hollis, OK to the late Framon Jourdaunt McGee and Nova Joyce (Cecil) McGee. She married Norman Jackson on January 23, 1943 and they were together for 67 years before his death on February 1, 2010. They raised two wonderful children. Cloy was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but worked for 20 years as an activity director at Monterey Care Center. There, she loved doing crafts and helping the elderly in enjoying their final home. Cloy was a wonderful mother and grandmother and especially loved her church and her relationship with Christ.
Survivors include a son, Robert Jackson and wife, Jeanne of Runaway Bay, TX and a daughter, Cathie Gregory and husband, Gary of Amarillo, TX; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and three brothers and two sisters. Others preceding her in death are a brother and a granddaughter.
