Cecil Allen Smith

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 – 7PM, Monday at the funeral home.

Cecil was born on March 4, 1936 in Imboden, Arkansas to Walter and Daisy Belle Hedrick Smith. He married Wanda Jean Skinner on February 8, 1958 in Wichita Falls and they were married for 58 years. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and worked for Civil Service for 10 years. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1973 from Altus, Oklahoma and was a member of Western Hills Baptist Church. He served his church in several positions and was a faithful member. He also was a member of the VFW and he loved to fly. He loved his family and grandkids. He was preceded in death by 2 children: Larry Joe Smith on August 17, 1997 and Debra Aline Morgan on September 4, 2005 and 14 of his siblings. Also, he had many beloved nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife: Wanda Jean Smith of Electra; children: Cecilia Torres and husband Gilbert of Margaret, Texas, Pam Forsythe and husband Gary of Franklin, Tennessee, Carla Smith McCaffity of Savannah, Georgia, Karen Alexander and husband Stanley of Electra, Michelle Smith and Brian Lesley of Savannah, Georgia; brother Wayne Smith of Pocahontas, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren: Michael Morgan, Ashlee Gray, Larry Smith, Christopher Smith, Joshua Forsythe, Cory Forsythe, Michelle Smith, Brian McCaffity, Brandon McCaffity, Laura Burroughs, Blake Burroughs, Christine Martinez, and Logan Burroughs; as well as 20 great-grandchildren.
