Mr. Bobby Joe Brown

Bobby Joe Brown, 77, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be recited at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 26, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Fernando Preciado, celebrant. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation is set from 6:30 until 8:00 Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was born on January 7, 1935 in Bowie, TX to the late Cecil and Georgia (Anderson) Brown. He was a longtime resident of Wichita Falls and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church here. He served in the U. S. Army from 1957 until 1959 and remained in the Army Reserve until 1963. Bobby retired from Wilson Manufacturing here in Wichita Falls after over 25 years of service. He was active in scouting when his sons were growing up. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Bobby married Naomi Jo Peysen on November 16, 1957 in Wichita Falls and they were together until her death in 2010. They both were preceded in death by a son, Kevin Charles Brown.

Survivors include a son, Timothy Brown of Vian, OK; brother, Skip Brown and wife, Joyce of Wichita Falls; sisters, Beatrice Elmore and husband, Jim of Petersburg, Illinois and Barbara David and husband, Robert of Wichita Falls; also several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., 76310.
