Barbara Elizabeth Rafter (Hunn) passed away peacefully on Sunday February 21st, 2021. Her services will be Saturday March 6th, 2021 at 11am at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
Barbara was born to Ottice Lloyd and Mary Etta Hunn December 5th, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School with a vocal scholarship to West Texas State University. She had a beautiful soprano voice which she used in multiple plays, musicals, performances and church choirs throughout her life.
Barbara spent a majority of her career as a school teacher with Wichita Falls Independent School District for thirty three years. After retirement she spent her time being “Nana” and spreading her love between her granddaughters and all her beloved dogs and cats. She loved to watch football and anything that her granddaughters were involved in. She had a gentle heart and loved to read.
Barbara is survived by her son, Todd Rafter, wife Jeanne. Her two grand daughters, Sabrina and Katelyn Rafter. Her brothers Don Hunn, and wife Reva, and Lloyd Hunn Jr, and wife Lela. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
