Angie Latimer was gently lifted into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, April 16, 2015. God chose to shine a bright light on a very special servant as He called Angie home on the very day of her 50th birthday, and mere minutes after a huge crowd of loved ones had just concluded a moving vigil of prayer and song in her front yard.
Angie was born to Leon and Geraldine Addison on April 16, 1965 in Garland, TX. The family moved to Holliday, TX in 1973 where Angie graduated from high school in 1983, and made her lifelong home as a beloved member of this small tight knit community. Angie raised her daughter Radeanne in Holliday, where her home was a haven of love and laughter and welcome for countless children. Angie worked for Certainteed for 22 years. She later became an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and was the top individual fundraiser in last year’s Relay for Life.
Angie married the love of her life, Keith Latimer, on October 27, 2006. The joy they found together was evident to all. God had truly given them a great gift in one another, a blessing they were ever mindful of, and never failed to cherish. Family was first and foremost to Angie, and she delighted in every moment she and Keith were able to spend with their large and loving blended family.
Angie was predeceased by her grandparents and father Leon Addison. She is survived by her loving husband Keith; daughters Radeanne (Adam) Rhoades, Sabrina (Michael) Hardiman, Lindsey (Jesse) Taylor, son Josh Latimer; grandchildren Zachary, Charlee, Ashton, Sierra, Savannah, Haidyn, Josh and Wyatt; mother Geraldine Addison; sister Kim Robertson; and a host of extended family members.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2pm Monday, April 20, 2015 at First Baptist of Holliday; interment to follow at Holliday Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Sunday, April 19, at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Wichita Falls. In honor of Angie whose beautiful smile was ever-present and radiated warmth wherever she went, please share your own smile generously with others.
