Albert L. Ayer, Jr., 96 of Wichita Falls, TX passed away Monday August 22, 2022 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday August 30, 2022 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday August 31, 2022 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Ayer was born in Wichita Falls, TX, September 3, 1925 to Albert, Sr. and Opal (Hawkins) Ayer. He married Imogene Eavenson and was a bookkeeper for Burk Royalty. He served his country in the US Army in 63rd Division 255 Infantry in WWII where he received two bronze stars. He was a member of the HAM Radio Group, and just received his 75 year Pin for the Masonic Order. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Discovery Class there.
Survivors include, his daughter, Susan Ayer Ellis; daughter-in-law, Judy Ayer; granddaughter Julie Bacon and husband Joey and family; grandson, Greg Ayer and wife Irene and family, grandson Philip Ayer and wife Spenser and family; many other good friends and family.
