Patricia Diane Barr

With heavy hearts we announce Patricia Diane Barr (née Cotter) of Whiting, NJ passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the age of 87. Born January 7, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA. Pat’s adventures lead her to live in Chicago, Virginia and finally settling in the Jersey shore area in the early 60’s. She retired from the Mathematics Department of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ in 2011.

Pat lived life her way! It was filled with unconditional love and contagious laughter. Her stories of life’s encounters would keep you laughing all the time. Any chance she got you could find Pat enjoying her day in Atlantic City!

Pat was predeceased by her sisters Connie & Beryl. She is survived by her amazing children Tara Pezzino (Frank), Chuck Steele (Alyssa), Valerie Steele Vinci, Jen Sperduto (Tom) and Richard Barr (Wayne Gooding). Pat was blessed with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in 2023.
