So sorry to hear. Lorraine live across from my mom in Cedar Glen Lakes and was always friendly when I came to visit with my dogs over the years. When mom passed in nov. Of 2021 she brought over a thanksgiving dinner tray for me knowing I was alone. My deepest condolences to the family.

Although we grew up and we became the adults that we became, there is a core part of each of us that remains since childhood and will forever and ever remain --our 'ever-selves'.  The McGrath's and The Keane Cousins [not necessarily in that order :)] share the blessings of knowing each other's 'ever-self' and we see each other for who we really are.  We are part of the same blood.  We are part of the same family traditions, values, beliefs, mannerisms and we shared a lot of the same early childhood experiences. 
In our younger years, you, Patti, and MaryAnne were like celebrity models to me.  Whenever we were going over to Aunt Mary and Uncle Nick's, it was like a 'fun-barometer' on a scale of 1-10 -with 10 being the happiest.  My sense of happiness was trending upward with just knowing we were going to see our cousins. You were more than a cousin --you were like another big sister to me. You were always encouraging, supportive, loving to me growing up and you were also protective.  I admire the woman you became and the doting mother to your son, Sal.  He is a sweet, caring and fine young man--you should not ever worry.  You maintained consistency in your core values and beliefs in God, Family, and Patriotism, and that is most admirable.  Your door was always open and your oven always on with food to share with family & friends even if you hadn't seen them in years.  Your fun, loving and enthusiastic level of energy and zest for life was palpable and contagious.  
The "all for one & one for all" cousin bond, the "ever-self" bond since our early childhood days are bonds that will never be broken and will go unmatched by any other type of relationships outside of our family.  
Lorraine, I will never forget you, and I will Always Love You, cousin/sister xox...

We had a lot of fun growing up. I cherish the times you stayed at our house. The times we went to New Palz and fed the horses. I will cherish the memories of going to your moms house for barbecues and swimming in the pool. I remember knocking down your garage to put a pool in.  We went to the beach and McDonald’s farm. We had some great times you were lively and loved to have fun. My dad loved you very much. You are in great company in heaven. I’m glad your at peace I love you

I read that grief is the price we pay for love.  Lorraine, loving you was surely worth the price.  I miss you so much.  I miss being able to call you anytime just to say hello.  I miss you making plans for what we’ll do when I visit.  I miss your hugs.  I miss your pasta and meatballs and all the entertaining you loved so much to do.  I miss talking about the fun times growing up and sharing secrets.  You are forever a part of me and I am a part of you.  You will remain in my heart always.  I am so proud of you for being such a good mom and so proud of Sal for his accomplishments and the caring sensitive man he has become.  He will remain to be a part of this family; we will always have his back.

So very sorry to hear about your passing. I remember you as a strong willed woman and as a fighter.  You didn’t deserve to die so young. I know how much you loved your son Salvatore!
