Joseph John McCloskey

Joseph John McCloskey, 41, of Berkley Township, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Joe was born in Passaic and briefly lived in Brick before moving to Waretown where he graduated from Southern Regional High School. After witnessing the events of 9/11, he enlisted in the United States Army and served 5 years stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado, serving 2 tours in Iraq.

Joe loved sports and watching football & baseball. He was an incredible father and had a very special bond with his daughter.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Regan, whom he absolutely adored; his mother, Myrna Maljers; his father Joseph McCloskey; his uncle Tim McCloskey, his aunts Alberta Mossey, Marilyn Dewolf and Jen Torres; and his cousins, Brianne & Melissa.

Gathering will take place on Monday September 25 from 10:30-12:30 at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting. Services and committal will follow at Brig. Gen Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
