James was born on December 3, 1942, in Orange, NJ, and he was the son of the late Ralph and Josephine Cucciniello. He was raised and was a lifelong resident of South Orange, NJ, before moving to Whiting, NJ in 2013. James retired after a 33 year career with the South Orange Police Department. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors.
James is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Nilsson) Cucciniello; three children, James Cucciniello, Jr. and his wife Pamela, Justine Cucciniello-Surinski and her husband Paul, Corey Cucciniello and his wife Catherine; a brother Ralph Cucciniello, Jr.; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha, Ryan, Taylor, Dominick and Rocco.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759. His funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home as the visiting hours are concluded. Cremation will be private.
