Herbert Ronald Davis, 76, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at his home with his devoted wife by his side.
Born and raised in Augusta, West Virginia, Herb moved to New Jersey to start working as an assemblyman at the Ford Motor Company. Herb worked for 30 years before he retired in 1991. Herb and Louise raised their family in East Brunswick before moving to Whiting. Herb liked to keep busy, going to the horse track, and was a fan of the Mets and the Giants. Herb enjoyed spending time with his family.
Herb is survived by his wife of 54 years, Louise Wimer Davis; his daughter Deborah Sgro and her companion Van Neff of Del Ray Beach, Florida; his son Ronald Davis and his wife Sandy of Whiting, NJ; his grandchildren Dean Sgro, Samantha Sgro, Kyle Davis and Jessica Davis. He is also survived by his siblings, Sarah Cheshire, Pearl Nealis, Beryl Gray, Irene Keiter, Arley Davis and Aretta Davis.
Keeping Herb's wishes, there will be a private cremation.
