Francis Cybulsky, 86, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Frank was born in Garfield, NJ and grew up in Saddlebrook, NJ. He graduated from Bergen County Technical School in Hackensack then enlisted in the United States Army. While he was serving, he met his wife, Gloria, and after a tour in Germany, they married on Valentine’s Day in 1960. They briefly lived in Clifton before moving to Wallington, NJ for 42 years to raise their family.
Frank worked for Curtis-Wright Aeroplane Company, manufacturing airplane parts, then went on to work as a carpenter. He later became a machinist for Airwick in Carlstadt and retired from Boston Matthews, Inc. in Norwood.
Frank was very artistic and enjoyed painting & making stained glass artwork and decorative pieces for family & friends. He had a passion for gardening & flowers and was an avid photographer, learning about the art in the military and taking many beautiful photographs throughout his life. He also loved the outdoors, especially his house on the lake in the Poconos where he enjoyed going out on his boat & fishing. Above all, Frank loved his family and will be dearly missed.
Frank was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Cybulsky. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 63 years, Gloria Cybulsky; his 3 children, Francine Grembowiec and her husband John of Bolivia, NC, Francis Cybulsky, Jr. and his wife Ewa of Elizabethtown, PA and Lois Frivoll and her husband Jan of Essex Junction, VT; 7 grandchildren, John, Kristopher, Kelly, Nicholas, Laura, Charlotte and Erik; 4 great-grandchildren, Xander, Scarlette, Pfeiffer and Sophie; and his goddaughter, Karen Cybulsky.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1-4pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home , 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 10:45am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
