Walter Martin Blankertz, age 89, of White Lake, passed away June 3, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Marie (née Cyr). Loving father of Martin Blankertz, the late Kenneth (Theresa) Blankertz, David (Ruth) Blankertz, Julie (Frank) Sacha, Diane (Robert) Hatfield and Gale (John) Bruen. Proud grandfather of Joann Blankertz, Kenneth (Carrie) Blankertz, Ann Marie Blankertz, Renee (Robert) McDowell, Nicole Blankertz, the late Michael Sacha, Philip (Diane) Sacha, Craig Sacha, Doug (Andrea) Hatfield, Rebecca Hatfield, Kelsey (Dave) Barrie, Devin Bruen, John Bruen and Andrew Bruen. Treasured great-grandfather of 11. Cherished brother of Joan (the late Larry) Klimchalk and the late Rose (the late John) Webb. Dear friend of Paula Slack. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Julius and Rachel Blankertz. Walter, a veteran of the United States Marines, proudly served our country during the Korean War.
