Richard Owen Welch

Richard O. Welch of Bloomfield Hills, passed away April 3, 2018 at 81 years of age. Beloved husband of Holly for 32 years. Loving father of Richard Welch, Keith (Dar Zimmerman) Welch, Krystal Sharp, Barbara Welch, Camilla (Thomas) Sharp and Wade Welch. Treasured grandfather of Valerie, Keith Jr., Misty, Ronald, Brittney, Miranda, Christopher, Mitchell, Bethany and Samantha. Great-grandfather of Vanessa, Levi, Elaina, Kyleigh and Jackson. Dear brother of the late Dorothy, the late Frank Welch, the late Harry Welch, Jim Welch and Ralph Welch.

Mr. Welch was an Air Force Veteran who proudly served during the Korean War. He enjoyed county music, bowling, horseshoes and walking. He loved nature and looked forward to peaceful rides in the car enjoying the scenic countryside.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Interment along with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
