Mark Andrew Barnett, born in Pontiac, MI on February 20, 1959, passed away on July 31, 2018. Mark was preceded in his passage to Heaven by his loving parents Beverley Ann and Guy Vernon Barnett and is survived by siblings Phyllis (Denis) Marino, Kerry (Karla) Barnett, Gregg (Denise) Barnett and Todd (Cathy) Barnett. Mark served his country as a member of the US Navy and was honorably discharged after a 13-year military career. During Mark’s naval career, he received many commendations while touring the world. He spent time in the Gulf supporting US forces in Iraq. Mark’s passions included a lifelong love of trains and he was an accomplished model railroad enthusiast. Mark was also a supporter of the classic arts and was a fabulous clarinet player. Mark was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School and a four-year member of its award winning Symphonic and Marching Bands. Mark will be sorely missed by his family, numerous nieces and nephews and his friends. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Clarkston at 2:00 pm on September 10, 2018
