Loretta Kaltz, age 95, of Troy, Michigan, was born July 5, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away July 3, 2023 in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Loving mother of Barbara (Mike) McAuliffe, Linda (George "Casey") Seley, Ed (Maribeth) Kaltz, and Bob (Jackie) Kaltz. Proud grandmother of Tom Seley, Jessica Broschay, Paul M. Broschay, Dave (Jenn) Seley, Mark (Susi) McAuliffe, Ryan (Mallory) Kaltz, and Amanda (Brent) Kulik. Treasured great-grandmother of Sabrina, Hannah, Lucius, Jeffrey, Mia, Cora, Ryan, Drew, Eli, Liam, Easton, Isaiah, and Carter. Loretta will be missed by many nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Loretta was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Edmund S. Kaltz for 49 years; grandson, Jeffrey McAuliffe; great-granddaughter, Ella Seley; parents, Thomas and Laura Paradis; and sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette (Mike) Foley.
Loretta had an undeniable passion for traveling, always seeking new experiences and immersing herself in the wonders of the world. As an unwavering fan, Loretta rejoiced when the Chicago Cubs achieved their long-awaited World Series victory, a moment that brought her immense pride and joy. Her heart, however, also embraced the Detroit Tigers, cherishing their team spirit and resilience. Golf and bowling were not just hobbies for Loretta, but expressions of her competitive spirit and zest for life. With her contagious sense of humor, she effortlessly brought laughter and smiles to those around her, making her the life of every gathering. Loretta embraced the joy of celebration, cherishing moments spent with loved ones while enjoying the thrill of a good party. Her lively spirit and cherished memories will forever be held dear by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm (Memory Sharing & Rosary at 6:30pm) at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:30am (In State 10:00am) at Christ, Our Light! Catholic Church, 3077 Glouchester Drive, Troy. Following the mass and preceding the burial, there will be a memorial luncheon held at the church. Burial will be held, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 2:00pm at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield.
