June Marie Gilbert

June Marie Gilbert, age 89, of West Bloomfield, was born March 23, 1934 in Detroit, and passed away November 12, 2023 in White Lake. Beloved wife of the late William Gilbert for over 60 years. Loving mother of Laura (Mike) Bader, Michael (Denise) Gilbert, Julie (Doug) Miers, the late Linda (Gary Gorski) Gilbert, Joseph (Stacey) Gilbert, and Daniel (Amy) Gilbert. Cherished grandmother of Kevin (fiancée Elizabeth Vetter) Bader, Ryan Arvin, Jackson (Cynthia) Bader, Spencer Gilbert, Madison Gilbert, Aaron (Hannah) Miers, Bailey Boyd, Hannah Miers, Duncan Gilbert, Clayton Gilbert, and Ava Gilbert. Treasured great-grandmother of Elise, Vivian, Warren, Weslynn, Sebastian, Jackson, and Natalie. Dear sister of Jim (Betty) Dunn. June will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. June was preceded in passing by her parents, Leo and Marie Dunn; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane (Hank) Hartges and Patricia (Roy) DeMarco.

June, a passionate gardener and culinary enthusiast, found joy in cultivating both plants and flavors. Together with her husband William, she embarked on memorable trips to Mexico, creating cherished memories. A dedicated employee, June devoted over 25 years to New York Life, retiring from a fulfilling career. Known for her hospitality, she loved entertaining friends and family, creating warm and inviting spaces for gatherings.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake.
