I grew up in Carroll Lake Estates and spent enough time at the Rickabaughs to know this is not John Sr.  He was Russian and Rosalin from England.   I don’t know who this is but it’s not those creeps John or Jeremy’s father.  He was just as creepy always trying to get the little girls to look at playgirl magazines and other strange things.  His sons were just as strange when they got to be teenagers trying to hold girls down in the woods by the Nike 87 base and tie them up and touch them and take pictures.  I have often wondered how they managed to stay out of prison for their early onset of such deprave behavior as twins enjoying it together

My name is Jay Davenport and I had the pleasure of calling John my 2nd dad. I have known him for as long as I have known his sons Jeff and John Jr. All the  way back to 3rd grade. It was a pleasure knowing him and looking up to him as kids and the dads we are today. we always didn't agree on things through out the school year breaks we had ( he always had projects to get done ie kitchen cabinets and other odd stuff he wanted done) He will be missed and loved. Love you John.

So many memories of John from the fist time we met till the last time we said goodbye. He  taught Garry Tracey and I all about smores on a family camping trip and always made us welcome when we visited from England.  He was very protective of his family and loved Ros dearly.  John was our brother in law but also a friend overseas.  Goodnight good bless John.  xx

My name is Jeff Monaghan, and I've known John for 22 years.  (Or as I called him, "Mister Rickabaugh").  

We worked together at FedEx, and also at Coca-Cola.  I listed John as a reference to get a job at Coca-Cola, and he called me after the recruiter talked to him and asked if I needed help!  I said YES, and he moved from Detroit to Phoenix to help me open a new distribution center.  He was always open to new things, and even moved across town to an even bigger distribution center a couple of years later - once again to help me!  

He was a great friend, one of the hardest working people I've ever known, LOVED LOVED LOVED Ros and his family, and was a person of great loyalty and integrity!  If John said something, everyone knew it was true!

Even at work, as busy as we always were, he talked as much about his family as he did about work.  If you know John, you can relate to this.  More than a couple of times, he would be talking to employees about his family in his office next to mine, and I would have to walk next door and say, "OK, John, they have work to do."  :-)

I will miss the many, many conversations I had with John about Ros, his kids, his grandkids, the lakehouse, stocks, retirement, and life.  I always said that John had a great life perspective that helped make him the person he was, and I loved that about him.  

Every time we talked, we talked for an hour or more.  Sometimes I'm sure we were both busy, but when I got off the phone, I was always glad I had chatted with John.  

I will miss "Mister Rickabaugh" very much.

He was a wonderful Senior manager to me at FedEx.  He educated me on my 401K which has helped me gain more profit.  He was kind and also showed us the sky when an eclipse occurred.  So sad he is gone. Too young.
