John Earl “Jack” LeBlanc, age 84, born July 19, 1929 in Ecorse, MI and passed away June 26, 2014 in West Bloomfield, MI. Beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Julie Rinaldi LeBlanc, married on October 1, 1949. Blessed with nine children Renee (Chris) Abbuhl, the late Jan, Don (Claudia) LeBlanc, Nancy (George) Croitori, Richard (Linda) LeBlanc, Brad (Deborah) LeBlanc, John (Maureen) LeBlanc, Mary (Scott) Niemiec, Julie (Patrick) McInnis, 28 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Survived by siblings James and Lawrence. John is preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Ruth LeBlanc, and his siblings, Donald, Fern St. Amant, Reggie, Herbie and Margaret Sullivan. After retiring from a successful career at MetLife, John volunteered and developed the Rowing Program at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s from 1978 to 1996. He was fondly known there as “Laddie” and was well respected by the staff, students and oarsmen. John has been a member of St. Patrick Church since 1957 and of the Knight of Columbus at present. Visitation will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (Scripture Service 7:00 p.m.) and Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (Rosary 7:00 p.m.) at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (In State 11:00 a.m.) at the Shrine Chapel of Our Lady of Orchard Lake, 3535 Indian Trail, Orchard Lake.
