Joanne Marie Thomas

Beloved wife of the late Bob. Mother of Theresa (J. Timothy) Fields, Linda (Todd) Barna and Gregory Thomas. Proud grandmother of Allison Fields, Amanda Fields, Brooke Barna, Jordon Barna and Alex Barna. Sister of Edward Marsh and the late Margaret "Mimi" Oram. She is also survived by her fur baby, Danny.

Mrs. Thomas was a licensed nurse who worked in the nursery at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan for many years. She was a proud member of the 99's Club which recognizes women pilots. She graduated from John Bapst High School in Bangor, Maine in 1956 and later graduated from the Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ where she obtained her degree in nursing in 1959. She loved the five years she spend in Essex, England and had a very special love in her heart for dogs.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery where Joanne will be reunited with her husband Bob.
