James R. Mcmullen

James R. McMullen, age 89, of White Lake; passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 2, 2011. Mr. McMullen served in the US Navy and was a machinist mate on ship in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a proud lifetime member of the Sheet Metal Local 292 as well as a member of St Patrick’s Catholic Church and was with the Knights of Columbus, Monahan Counsel. Beloved husband of the late Margaret, who preceded him in death on January 4, 2011; dear father of Margie (Mike) McMullen-Faff, Bill (Sue) McMullen, Linda McMullen Morelli, James McMullen, Carolyn McMullen, Tom (Ginny) McMullen; proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 14. Mr. McMullen was preceded in death by his son Kenneth. The Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake. The visitation hours will be Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. Mr. McMullen will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and envelopes will available at the funeral home.
