James Law Kenney

James L. Kenney of White Lake, passed away May 20, 2018 at 69 years of age. Beloved husband of Laura for over 50 years. Loving father of Jeannine Elizabeth (Stephen) Skamiera and the late Audrey Marie Kenney. Proud grandfather of Autumn Marie Stover, Jordan James Stover and Elizabeth Gene Skamiera and his great grand-daughter, Gracelynn Marie. Brother of Maurice Kenney, Patrick Kenney, Mary Ann (Frank) Salinas and the late Jacqueline DeSmyter.

Mr. Kenney was a retired Detroit police officer and he was the former owner of Kenney Company. He loved salmon fishing, gardening, cooking and boating. He had a special place in his heart for dogs and always had man's best friend by his side.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins in White Lake. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Union Lake chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake and Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a rosary service Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions suggested to the Non-Profit organization, Freedom Work Opportunities, Inc.
