Dorothy Anne Stone-Brunson

She was born on March 1, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Kenneth and Jennie Stone.

Dorothy, fondly known as Dee, was an avid gardener with a remarkable green thumb. Additionally, she loved to cook and and entertain her family and friends with her fresh grown bounty from her garden. She gave freely of her time to her family, friends and community volunteering often to benefit others. She also cherished her three four-legged canine companions, Faith, Tuffy and Scrappy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Stone and Jennie Dettore-Stone.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Scott Brunson of West Bloomfield, son Tim Barham of West Bloomfield; daughter Jennie Marie Stone-Booth and granddaughter Kshate’ Nchipillsi-Opal Essence Head-Stone of Detroit; sister Donica Stone (Davin); brothers Kenneth Stone (Christine) and Dominic Stone.

A Celebration of Life Open-House will be held on Sunday June 23, 2024 from 2-5 pm at the home of Scott Brunson, 7401 Honeysuckle, West Bloomfield, MI 48324. Family and friends are welcome to attend and share their favorite memories of Dee.
