She is preceded in death by her husband John. She is survived by her children; Celeste, John, and Jaclyn (Ronda) as well as her sister, Paula (Glen). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Andrew, Nathan, and Isabella and step-grandchildren Drew and Jackson.
Barbara was strongly devoted to her Catholic faith and was at mass every weekend. She was a career woman who loved her job as a postal worker for 30 years. She was beloved by her mail route and still remembered the names and numbers of so many of the people years after her retirement. She loved to spend time in Las Vegas with John as well as traveling with her sister and brother-in-law. Barbara was a woman of fiery passion that was often creative in her expressions. Barbara will be remembered most for her beautiful smile, heart of gold, and her love of her family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 15, 2024 at St. John Catholic Church, 2099 N. Hacker Road in Howell. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake and Friday at church from 10:00am until the time of the mass at 11:00am. There will be a Rosary Service Thursday evening at 7:00pm at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Associations.
