Lee "Sonny" "LJ" Joseph Nastasi

LJ was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. Sonny graduated from White Castle High School then furthered his career at the University of Southwestern, LA. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Sonny was the General Manager for the Baton Rouge Beer Agency where he also served as past Chairman for the LA Beer Association. He was a past member of the Rotary Club and a proud Commissioned Officer of the US Army Reserve Louisiana National Guard. Sonny was a volunteer for the US Red Cross. He volunteered his time raising large amounts of money to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. He was an avid Bass fisherman who loved participating in Bass tournaments.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty years, JoAnn Landry Nastasi; three children, Kent Nastasi (Merle), Dana Nastasi Karisny (David), and Dona Nastasi (Kevin); five grandchildren, Cole Nastasi, Anna Nastasi, John Nastasi, Terry Bozeman, and Joseph Hewitt; his sister, JoLynn Fontenot (Wildon) and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "Joe" and Clarice "Clara" Nastasi; and his brother, Lonnie Nastasi.

A memorial visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle, LA, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 10am until Service at 11am. Interment to follow in the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Mausoleum.
