John Carlyle "J.C." Hebert, Jr., 79, passed away at his home in White Castle, La on April 4, 2021. He retired as an equipment operator and welder from Cora Texas, but continued work he enjoyed for Ourso Farms; he also was an avid hunter and skilled card player. The memory of his humble and kind nature will be cherished by his wife of 60 years, Leslie “Jeanie” Hebert; his four children: John “Johnny” Hebert, III (April), Leslie “Phil” Hebert (Charlene), Anna Bodin (Kevin), and Scott Hebert (Leslie); five grandchildren: Ashley Hebert Pirtle, Jonathan Hebert, Brandi Hebert, Katie Simmons, and Jace Hebert; four great-grandchildren: Kelyn, Kaden, Chelsea, and Hunter Jo; four siblings: Billy Hebert, Katherine Nichols, Diana Beeson, and William Hebert; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary “Lucy” Hebert and John Carlyle “Herbie” Hebert; his grandparents, Allie and Alice Hebert; sister, Peggy Hebert; and brother, Ricky Hebert.
Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 9am till 10:45am; a Catholic Service will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church at 11am; entombment in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Hebert, Phil Hebert, Scott Hebert, Kevin Bodin, Jonathan Hebert, and Jace Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be William Hebert and Billy Hebert.
