John 16:22 - So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
George was a remarkable man who left a lasting impact on those around him. His roles as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend speak to the strong relationships he built throughout his life. George, also known as “Cuz” worked at Cora Texas Sugar Mill for several years as an electrician. His pride as a member of the Local Council on Aging in White Castle and member of the US Navy highlight his commitment to serving. He was a very talented man and could fix anything. George also enjoyed fishing, visiting the casino, and relaxing at home, most importantly, George’s enjoyment of time was spent with his wife and family which is what mattered most to him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of forty five years, Jeannette Gauthe Sanchez; six children, Jeffrey Dille, Chris Dille (Laura), Gregg Dille (Olga), Mickey Sanchez, Lori Gautreaux (Steve), and Sherri Brown (Melvin) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one child, Dana Beasley; parents, Walter Sr. and Clemance Sanchez, and his three siblings, Seraphine Duplechain, Walter Sanchez Jr., and Robert Sanchez.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville from 9am until service at 11am.
