Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Her family was her everything, Edna often showed her family just how much she loved them by always preparing a hot meal for them. Edna looked forward to family gatherings especially, Sunday dinner. She enjoyed LSU football, quilting with her sisters, "the peppers" and if there was a shopping trip, Edna was always ready to go. She was a loving wife who was a devoted caretaker to her husband prior to his passing.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Bryant Gautreaux (Lynette) and Glen Gautreaux (Beth); two step-children, Connie Brown (Chuck) and Doug Gautreaux (Shelly) and their family; eight grandchildren, Shandie Zimmerman (Chris), Kasie Bodwell (John), Gaven Gautreaux (Kayla), Kayley Gautreaux (Blake), Craig Rogers (Britney), Tyler May (Brandi), Lexi Gautreaux (Jacob) and Lane Gautreaux and twelve great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent "Noonie" Gautreaux; parents, Oleme and Louisiane LeBlanc Loland and her four sisters, Rena Bergeron, Adele Arceneaux, Lois Sanchez, and Olda Mae "Peg" Dugas.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Landmark of Acadiana for their care and support.
The pallbearers will be: Craig Rogers, Tyler May, Lane Gautreaux, Evan Zimmerman, Jack Bodwell, Gaven Gautreaux and Mason Rodrigue.
Honorary pallbearer will be: Roman Rodrigue.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle, LA, on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 9am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church at 11am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
