Barbara Ethel Sanchez

Barbara D. Sanchez, 77, died on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was a native of Opelousas and resident of White Castle. She retired from Bank of Commerce as a bookkeeper. Barbara enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She enjoyed participating in bible studies. Spending quality time with family especially her grandchildren were very important. Barbara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jeff Zeringue; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald J. Sanchez, II and Mona, Bart and Christi Sanchez; six grandchildren, Kayla and Brennan Sanchez, Kara Hendrix, Jade Sanchez, Sarah and Maddie Zeringue; one great grandchild, Londyn Hendrix; two sisters, Yvonne Valin and husband, Gene and Pat Roppolo; and one brother, Charles Devillier and wife June.Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Sanchez; parents, Leo and Bessie Devillier; father-in-law, Clarence Sanchez, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Marie Sanchez.Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle.
