Mrs. Yvonne Cecile Peters, age 82, of Arvada, passed away Thursday evening, February 27, 2020, at Collier Hospice in Wheatridge, Colorado. She was born January 20, 1938, in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of the late Ivan and Myrtle Eldher.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Richard Peters.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, board games and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Yvonne had a feisty streak but a gentle heart and love that would never end.
Yvonne was a wonderful mother to her 3 children Rick Peters (Bev), Carol Law (Rick), and Sharron Limmer (Carl).
She was a devoted Grandmother to Jacob Briggs (Colette), Stephanie Peters, Josh Briggs (Shana), Nick Briggs, Amber Oakley (Brandon), and many more who considered her grandma.
Yvonne was a loving Great Grandmother to Caleb, Jade, Robbie, Jillian, Myla, Carter, and Jace. She was an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday morning, March 5, 2020, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery (7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80033), with Bob Hayes officiating. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m with funeral service following.
Reception will immediately follow the service at the D Johnston Community Center and Swimming Pool
