Age 85, of Lakewood died after an illness on September 12, 2011.
Bill was a propulsion engineer on the Titan program at Martin Marietta for 31 years. He was also active in the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he received several honors including the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eunice, sons David (Jeannie) of Woodinville, WA and Steve (Ellen) of Highlands Ranch, and grandsons Britt, Kody, Christopher and Aaron. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Abigail, sister Irene, and daughter Sharon.
A viewing will be held at Crown Hill, 7777 W. 29th Ave. on Friday, September 16 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will take place in the Chapel of Peace at Crown Hill on Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Bill’s name to the Boy Scouts, St. John’s Hospice or a charity of your choice.
