William Edwin "Bill" Miller, age 91, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife, Judith Miller, and son, William Charles Miller II. He is survived by his long term companion, Mary Sue Powell; children, Pamela (Steve) and Lynnda (Bruce); his daughter in law, Jill; brother, Don; sister, Judith (Jeff); grandchildren, Leah, Kyley (Jason), Margaret (Matthew), Cameron (Erin), Kian and Frances; great grandchildren, Miles, Isaac, Lylah, Aviana and Emery.
Bill was a graduate of Princeton University where he majored in Geology and became a Geologist and Petroleum Landman. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Bill always had an interest in cars and was a skilled vintage car racer for 39 years and was involved in several car clubs including Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing (RMVR) in which he was one of the first members of the club and would drive his beloved Hertz Shelby GT-350H to the track. He seldom missed a race and is the only person to have raced ALL fifteen of the Steamboat Street Races.
In addition to racing Bill loved gardening, going to Jazz clubs and fishing. He taught his family to always perservere and never give up.
He will be greatly missed.
