Vivian Arline Jella, 95, passed away on December 8, 2022 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Vivian was born on April 5, 1927 in Denver, Colorado to Robert Eugene Collins and Minnie Estell Collins (Sullivan). She attended Swansea Elementary School and graduated from Manual High School in 1944, where she was Head Girl. She worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and married Edward Lee Karn Jr. on August 21, 1947 at Galilee Baptist Church in Denver. They had three sons together. Edward passed away on January 29, 1972, and Vivian remarried to Frederick Dale Jella on April 13, 1975. Vivian enjoyed decorating, knitting, and was a Denver Broncos fan. She was a proud Colorado native, but also loved to travel and visited many countries of the world. She had a great sense of humor and loved to meet people and make new friends.
Vivian is survived by her sons Charles (Marilyn), Robert (Gail), and Kevin (Kazuyo, Yoshie) Karn; grandchildren Seth (Leslie), Leland, Perry and Rob Karn, Mayuko Fukui, Sonja Karn, and Isaac Fukui; and great-grandchildren Alexis and Addison Karn, and Ami Fukui. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Minnie Collins, sisters Gene Collins, Cecelia "Tiny" Bender, and Mildred Baker, and her husbands Edward and Dale.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Pavilion of Reflection. Please see all services below.
