Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 yrs, Herbert in 2001, her beloved daughter, Janet Sue McCoy in 2008, two precious grandsons, Charles "Toby" Mitchell, 2001, Shawn Dean Oliver, 2009, as well as a great granddaughter, Hannah Marie Mitchell, 2010. Several of Virginia's sisters preceded her death as well.
Virginia is beloved Mother and best friend of daughter, Judi Huddleston, who was her loving caregiver.
She was devoted grandmother to Jami Nicole Wadleigh (Dan), Jennifer Brooke Huddleston, John Jason Mitchell, Travis Robert Bennett(Kim), as well as step grandmother to Shelly Huddleston Minks (Mick).
She was great grandmother to Lyssa Oliver Gray, Jeffrey Dean Oliver, J.D., Grace Ryane, Josiah River, and Jalen Christian Wadleigh. Deven and Shaleigh Mitchell, Kyle, Ryane, and Ashley Bennett. Great step grandson, Drew Minks, great step granddaughter Courtney and Tawney Minks.
Virginia was great, great grandmother to to Tabytha Rene Gray, and Jackson Dean Oliver.
She is also survived by brothers, Irvine Lakes, Vernon Lakes, and sisters, Vergie Lakes, Delena Keltner, Bert Kingsley, and Betty Huff.
Virginia was born in hills of Kentucky, working on the farm from 6yrs of age. After marriage, she and Herbert moved to Indiana, and she became cosmetologist, and operated her own salons in Indiana, Missouri, and Denver for total of 62 years.
Virginia was a vibrant, elegant lady with such a beautiful smile, and such a loving, giving, compassionate heart. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and always shared His Gospel with everyone she met.
To Virginia, her family meant more than anything in this world...nothing brought her more joy than time spent with them and caring for them. She never forgot her humble beginnings, and was so appreciative of all her many blessings. She was deeply loved by many, and will be missed by all
