home. Born in the small farm town of Steinaur, Nebraska July 22, 1933, she was the youngest
of nine children born to Albert and Hilda Steiner. In 1952 she married her husband of 66 years,
Keith Smith and moved to Colorado where they bought their first and only home. They raised
two children of their own Phyllis and Fred. Vera enjoyed traveling with her family, attending
family reunions, sewing, beading and gardening. She was incredible artist that painted award
winning china for many years. Preceded in death by daughter Phyllis, husband Keith and all of
her siblings. Survived by her Son Fred, Granddaughter and Grandson Greg and Jennifer,
Grandson in law and Granddaughter in law Darren and Laura and five wonderful great Grand
children Colten, Dylan, Kaylee, Bryan and Shayley.
