Ruth Montoya

Ruth Montoya 89 of Denver, Co passed away after a long illness on February 22. 2020. She was born to Sefernio Rocha and Guadalupe Rocha on May 11, 1930 in Orchard Colorado. She was one of six brothers and sisters: Maria Collier, Carmel Canales, Julia Ortiz, Jim Rocha and Vicente Rocha. Ruth married David Weimer in June of 1945. They had 2 children and the marriage ended in 1949. In February of 1952 she married Tyree Armstrong and they had 6 children together. Her last marriage was to Solomon Montoya and they had one son. These marriages produced nine children that loved her dearly. She was a hard worker who had many interesting jobs while raising her children. She worked in the medical field and she helped prepare taxes. She was an Avon representative for many, many years. She was a neighborhood captain and very interested in politics. In her later years she worked as a lunch monitor at school. She is survived by her loving children Patricia Weimer Villa, Lawrence Weimer, Tyree Armstrong, Henry Armstrong, Sheila Andrews, Shirley Potyondi, Thomasina Armstrong, Rose Emerson, and Samuel Montoya. She is also survived by 67 grandchildren, numerous great and great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Maria Collier and brother Jim Rocha. She is sadly missed and greatly loved by all. She is proceeded in death by her husband Solomon Montoya and mother and father and brother Vicente, sister Julia and sister Carmel.
