When I, my mom and Wes my brother would go back to Funk and Holdridge, Nebraska(can you imagine saying to someone " I live in Funk, Nebraska") to visit all of our family, I could hardly wait to get to play with Ruby! We would go off somewhere and play with our dolls, we didn't want to be bothered by any grown-ups. When Ruby and her family moved to Denver I was really happy to have my best cousin close by. My Dad and Ruby's Dad worked together in downtown Denver so Ruby and I would exchange notes that were delivered by our dads. Then of course I also would cherish the good times when Ruby and her family would come over for cookouts at our home.

I first met Ruby, Ruth and Aunt Edith when I was going with Ruby's cousin, Dorothy Yetter, my wife. Since none of these Swedes had ever eaten Mexican food, I and Dottie with her folks went over to Aunt Edith's and made stacked enchiladas. Needless to say they got hooked on Mexican food. They had probably never eaten anything spicier than pickled herring. When we moved to our acre in Arvada we had lots of cookouts. when Ruby and family came over we always ended up playing volleyball, these were really fun times I will never forget.

Mom, you and dad welcomed me into your family 22 yrs ago when LuAnn and I met. I will miss all the great times we had camping and you spoiling our babies Dillon and Drake. Please say hi to my mom and dad and have a great time, I will make sure that I take care of your baby girl LuAnn..I love and miss you!

 When I think of Ruby I have good memories, from the time we were all growing up and we would come over to your house to visit and play. Though it has been many years since then I can still see the lay out of your house.Years later all the cookouts we had at Mom and Dad's house.The time it started raining and we brought the cookout inside.Chris, do you remember the time the bratwurst fell from the table and the dog grab the whole thing and it was gone! When my son's were little and I would tell them we are going to have a cookout with Ruby, Bob and the whole family they would say who? The volley ball players and then they knew who I was talking about. All of these are good memories. As a Mom, I just know that Ruby you are still watching over your family.You are very much missed.  Your 2nd cousin, Ann Wellington.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Mom, I miss you. Want to see you again in in Heaven.
