Robert G. Katt was given life by his Creator and was born on March 21, 1935, the child of Harvey and Charlene Katt. He received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. He later confessed his faith in Christ and was confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church.
Robert received the gift of a beloved companion in his spouse, Kay F. Brown. The Lord blessed this couple with the gift of two children: John R. Katt and Mark R. Katt.
The Lord blessed Robert's life with many special people over the years. He served God and the United States of America with his military service. In his younger years, Bob was a body builder and lifted weights. He was associated with the weight lifters of Mr. Colorado. He also served the Lord in his vocation as a heavy equipment operator, and most importantly his vocations as husband and father. Bob was a devoted family man who worked hard to support his family. Robert was very close with his sister, Carolyn Young and over the years made many trips to Mexico. He also loved cookies of all varieties. His last delivery of cookies from Carolyn was at Easter, due to him being in the rehab center, and he was very grateful for them! Robert's hobbies included rebuilding and restoring antique cars and stock car racing.
On April 24, 2024, God blessed Robert with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of His Savior, Jesus Christ, and to await the Final Day and resurrection of the dead. He was preceded in death by his wife Kay, and his brother in-law, Jim Young. He is survived by his son, John Katt and his wife, his son Mark Katt, his sister, Carolyn Young, his nephew, Donald Young, his nieces, Kimberly (Young) Acker and Debra (Young) Featherton who is also Bob's Goddaughter, and his grandson, Andrew John Katt.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord, for our brother in Christ, Robert G. Katt.
