Robert Harry Hammond born on January 18, 1922 died at the age of 91 on September 9, 2013. He was born in Denver and remained in Colorado his entire life. He was the owner of a commercial contracting business that did construction work on numerous schools, churches and hospitals throughout the Denver metro area. He attended North high school and after graduation The School of Mines in Golden. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Marie Kennedy on 1950 and they had four children: Richard (wife Carol), Joan (husband Duane), Kenneth and Shirley (husband Rich) He was preceded in death by his wife in 2008 and by his son Kenneth in 1975. He has six grandchildren Bonnae, Nicole (husband Zach), Bryan, Justin, Jessica (husband Alex) and Kenny. He has one great granddaughter, Vivian.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 11am at Olinger Mount Lindo Cemetery 5928 S. Turkey Creek Road, Morrison, Colorado 80465.
