Rickey Joseph Schenfeld

Rick Schenfeld, age 70, passed away peacefully last week as he slept. Because Rickey is disabled, he required special living accommodations. He lived in Arvada with a trained caretaker, George, for many happy years. He loved George and the feeling was mutual. In addition, his Aunt, Joann Marshall, was appointed Rick’s legal Guardian and substitute “mama”. Rick had many cousins and good friends. Rick was able to visit with his family and friends and always closed his visits with his favorite goodbye – I’ll

pray for you!! Rickey loved to watch the Broncos -- his very favorite team, buying gifts for Rick was easy–as long as it was blue and orange!

Rick is survived by his caretaker George, his sister Rita, his aunts Margie and Joann as well as many other cousins. Rickey was preceeded in death by his mother, Mary, and his grandparents, Joseph and Mary Schenfeld.

In lieu of flowers, if you choose to do so, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, especially any organization that specializes in handicapped children.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Viewing at 10:00 am

Funeral Mass at 10:30 am

Reception at 11:30 am

Graveside/Burial at 1:00 pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery
