Richard Phillip Beck (Bud) at 95 years young, resident of Colorado Springs, passed away at home peacefully on January 15, 2021. Son of Albert Fred and Willie May Beck, Bud was born March 19, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri. At age 17 he enlisted in The United States Navy. He served his country for 27 years. He received the National Defense Service Medal (2), Joint Service Commendation Award, and a Good Conduct Medal Sixth Award. Bud had a great passion for woodworking. After retiring he loved building things in his woodshop for his children and grandchildren. He continued woodworking well into his nineties. Bud also enjoyed camping and playing slots and took several trips to Cripple Creek and Las Vegas.
Bud is survived by two sons, Richard Phillip Beck Jr. (Diana), Robert Dale Beck (MaryBeth), two daughters, Judy Carol Beck (Deanna), Linda Marie Rohwein (John) and two step children, Michelle Gayle Parker (Mark) and Elizabeth Ann Donavan (Scott), 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Shirley Mae, his second wife Georgia Louise, his son Michael Roy Beck and his stepson James Lee Soiland.
