Raymond Makatura, known by many as “Jocko”, peacefully passed away Monday, October 26th, 2020 in the arms of his beloved wife at the age of 92. Raymond was known as a hardworking businessman, proud veteran, sports-lover, and a beloved family man.
His kindness, warmth, and infectious personality will be forever remembered by all who knew him. He will be supremely missed by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Makatura, his two sons Robert Makatura and James Makatura, daughter-in-law Char Makatura grandchildren, Heather Makatura, Holly Richards and spouse, Allen Richards, and great-grandchildren Donte and Sadie Makatura.
Raymond is predeceased by his father, John Makatura, mother, Anna Makatura, and grandson, John Makatura.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at St. Anne’s church, open to immediate family only.Please contact the family for complete service details as space is limited.
