A beautiful precious girl “Pauline” was born in Iowa, November 23, 1928, and grew up in Leedey, Oklahoma. Pauline valued life, her family and helping people.
On June 1, 1946, Eugene Leonard and Pauline Howard were married. To this union two children were born, Dennis and Linda. She was a great wife and loving mother that was devoted to her husband and children. As a family, Gene, Pauline, and their kids attended Calvary Temple in Denver, Colorado. The love for the Lord was evident to many as they served in the church and became an integral part of the Body of Christ there.
Mother Pauline, as she was affectionately known, fought for her kids in the Spirit, and was determined that her children would be saved and serve the Lord. With the call upon her son Dennis life to start a ministry, it became evident the many years of prayers and love displayed to her children was a catalyst to birth destiny and ministry for the Leonard family. Gene and Pauline left Calvary Temple and leveraged their own personal property to fund and support the ministry known as Heritage Christian Center.
Mother Pauline, took the vision of that ministry and established the Heritage Christian Center Foodbank were hundreds of people were blessed each week with food and personal hygiene supplies. She recruited and prayed for an army of volunteers to catch the vision and assist in this mission. This amazing group of servants changed lives and helped so many people. Winning souls was the goal and they did. To this day, the Foodbank continues to serve the people of HCC and the Community. Mother Pauline also organized and led the Primetimers, which was ministry and social activities for the mature saints.
A woman after God’s own heart, Mother Pauline touched so many lives with the love of Jesus Christ. Her service to the Lord and Heritage was evident in all that she did and her display of kindness, patience and love to all. It is impossible to summarize all that Mother Pauline accomplished and how much she meant to the family, friends and Body of Christ. She was a woman of God filled with spirituality, life, loyalty and love.
Mother Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband Gene and her devoted son Dennis.
On February 6, 2022 Mother Pauline left this earthly life and stepped into the Presence of the Lord. What a celebration that was as she came face to face with her Lord and Savior. Mother Pauline leaves to cherish her precious memories:
